- June 3rd, 2009: We have released an experimental portal that implements the basic functionality aimed at by the BEST project. Mappings between laymen and legal terms are still scarse, but we hope to add more soon.
- March 9th 2009: The BEST project has started a cooperation with the Leibniz Center for Law at the Law Faculty of the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Rinke Hoekstra has started work as postdoctoral researcher at the Vrije Universiteit.
- November 27th 2007: We built a new website in order to gather more information about laymen terminology.
- August 15th 2006: Elisabeth Uyttenbroek will start as new PhD student in the BEST-project.
- May 11st 2006: Vacancy for PhD student.
- April 1st 2006: Change in the BEST team: Wouter and Emiel left :-(
- March 31st 2005: Presentation at the NWO TOKEN Symposium in Leiden. See the publications.
- December 6th 2005: New logo, representing the scale of justice made up of two ontologies.
- October 1st 2005: Change in the BEST team: Heiner left, Michel joined.
- July 31st 2005: 6-Month report to be released
- July 12th 2005: First Version of the BEST Ontology published
- April 1st 2005: The BEST Team is complete
- March 18th 2005: Best presented at the Token 2005 Symposium
- February 1st 2005: official start of the BEST project
- November 2004: BEST Proposal accepted by the Dutch Science Foundation (NWO)
